Frolic is an immersive experience that includes music, dance, puppetry, and pure play in a sensory-friendly space created for and with neurodivergent audiences ages 5 and up and their families. Audiences are transported to a place where there is no wrong way to play. Joanna Stone plays Ash the Ant. Joanna was part of the devising for this project and helped create her role and the story.

Acting highlights: Ash the Ant in the Immersive Theater Show, FROLIC. PREMIERED the Lead Role, Celine, in CRAZY LOVE at American Theater of Actors, of Actors CO-STAR in the Comedy Central mini series, ‘Ving Break, Lead actress on films: The Antidote and Armadillo News directed by Chris Rose. Joanna played Nora in A DOLL’S HOUSE in Austin Texas at the Iden B. Payne theater.
Dance highlights: Siren Artists Residency, TRANSFORMER in Asbury NY, Dance to the People Company Member for 9 years. Company member with Rosanna Gamson World Wide in Los Angeles and Contradanza in Mexico City where we told the story of Aura, by Carlos Fuentes through movement. Performer with Meh-tropolis Dance Theater, with artistic director: Sarah Harkness, a cast of actors, dancers, movers, we brought Giselle and A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life.
Joanna has a BA in Theater and Dance from University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University plus a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies. She created and founded a Barre Fitness method and company, Barre Vida.
